Football odds Saturday's quarter-finals
06/28/2006
Football odds are currently available for all England fans who want to add even more excitement to Saturday's game against Portugal.
The World Cup bets open ahead of the match could offer supporters some encouragement, as the Three Lions are fancied to triumph at 11/10 compared to 11/5 for the Portuguese, while a draw is available at 2/1.
Wayne Rooney's return to full fitness has placed him at the head of the list of possible first scorers at 5/1, followed by Pauleta at 6/1 and Peter Crouch at 7/1.
All the optimists out there could fancy taking a chance on England winning 4-0, which is available at 66/1, or maybe even putting something on Eriksson's team going through with a 5-0 scoreline at 100/1.
Some options which are possibly a bit more realistic are open also, such as 7/1 for a 2-0 win for England, or a 12/1 bet on the unthinkable happening England losing 2-0 is also available.
Brazil are through to the quarter-finals and the resurgent Ronaldo has moved up to second in the list of favourites to become top scorer at 5/2.
Big Ron's team-mates Kaka and Ronaldinho are also a possible bet in this race, both at 33/1, while one of their opponents this Saturday, Thierry Henry, has seen his odds shorten to 10/1.
The Brazilians are tipped to progress to the semi-final at 4/6, while a draw is available at 21/10 and a win for Les Bleus at 4/1.
As ever there are some more specific World Cup odds available ahead of the match, with the South Americans fancied to win both halves at 6/4 and the French valued at 8/1 to do the same.
A 1-0 Brazilian win is the result most expected at 5/1, while 2-0 and 2-1 scorelines in the reigning champions' favour are valued at 6/1 and 7/1.
Odds of 8/1 are available for France to win 1-0, lengthening to 16/1 for a 2-1 victory or 20/1 for 2-0.
